While the movie My Big Fat Greek Wedding may portray the loudest side of the Greek family, it is the warmth of Greek tradition in the wedding ceremony that makes a difference and turns moments into unforgettable memories.
This adorable couple, Luan and Noe, came from France to marry in Greece and in Santorini. Romance is their thing and we understood it from the moment we’ ve met them. The same goes for their parents, who were incredibly sweet and actively enjoyed participating in the wedding preparations.
So, last year, a French family came to finalize the details of their wedding. After deciding on the venue, we had a meeting, and from the very first moment, our team felt a strong connection with them. They made us feel like part of their family, and we truly felt included. Our communication throughout the planning process was perfect; they listened to our advice, and we worked hard to deliver the best results. The décor was simple yet beautiful, with subtle Greek elements. Greek touch was present throughout the wedding, and there are some wonderful photos from the family dinner that really evoke the feeling of a traditional Greek gathering.
Greek tradition is a wedding inspiration
Greek tradition serves timeless inspiration for weddings, offering a rich blend of history, culture and symbolism. From the iconic crowning ceremony (stefana) to the symbolic breaking of plates, Greek customs add a unique charm to wedding celebration. The deep sense of family, hospitality and joy that defines Greek weddings creates an unforgettable atmosphere. Incorporating traditional elements, like olive branches, vibrant blue and white décor, or a live Greek dance, can make any wedding not only beautiful but also a heartfelt homage to heritage.
